My favourite thing about the Bruce Peninsula is the Niagara Escarpment and all the natural things that spring from this unique feature. It isn’t just the natural features--the animals and plants—it’s the great diversity of these things that make the Bruce so easy and interesting to explore. In the coming year my goal is to explore the Bruce Trail from Wiarton to Tobermory (a little more than 150 kilometres) to commemorate Canada and Bruce County’s 150th Anniversary and to meet a long-time personal goal. Along the way I hope to see a black bear (my number one favourite!), find a new swimming hole, spot a new fern and tip-toe around the poison ivy. Wish me luck!
