My husband and I, along with our two children, moved to Kincardine in 1989. My husband had started working for Ontario Hydro at the Bruce site.
We had come from Sudbury, where we both had grown up, so we have always loved the outdoors. Bruce County, with it’s rocky scenery and blue waters resonated!.
It was later on that I learned that my father had helped set up the electronics program at Cambrian College in Sudbury in the late 60’s or so, for the purpose of training people to come to the nuclear site!.
He had been a high school electronics teacher in Sudbury and it turns out, there are many people who came here from Sudbury in the early days of the station, to work for Ontario Hydro.
Our family has loved Kincardine and it is definitely home to us.
