I was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario. I then moved to Port Elgin to work as a Dental Hygienist @ Dr. Campbell’s office where I met so many of his patients and I integrated into the community.
I loved the beaches and the small town atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and I felt safe in Port Elgin.
I joined a “women’s slow pitch team” and made 18 friends on the team – by knowing their husbands.
I noticed that there was a “bubble” in town due to the “education level and healthy living attitude such as “physical fitness and sports". I realized that it was firstly due to “Holly and Frank Vanderzwet” promoting the cross country ski trails and the “Port Elgin Racket Club” sports and fitness availability etc.
Again - - meeting so many new friends.
During this “Pumpkinfest 2017” there is such a “Happy Factor” of meeting friends that we haven’t seen for a long time. Everybody greeting each other and catching up with long lost friends.
I love living in Saugeen Shores!
