The photo of my mom Jessie MacArthur, was taken in 1925, at the Stratford Normal School-teacher’s college.

She taught for two years at the school in Lorne Beach, Kincardine Township.

She was married in 1927 to Orval Robinson. They lived on the B Line in Kincardine Township.

My dad was a rural mail carrier and farmer.

I was born in 1935 and grew up on the farm.  I had one sister, Margaret who was born in 1942. She died from Cancer at age 50.

My mother wrote a book when she was 90 years old called A Series of Happenings. It was all about her life until after the children were born.

When I was 12, she went back to teaching at the Lorne Beach school for six years, then it closed. She was then the Kindergarten teacher at W. E. Thompson School for 20 years.

She was interested in her Scottish Ancestry. She visited Scotland when she was 80,did some research, and wrote a family history book.

She had a big party for her 100th birthday, and lived to the age of 102.
